It’s been a couple of months, and we into the season of Summer here in the Midwest. We’ve been adding small pieces of guitar effects (or really anything), related gear in the form of pedals. We’ve been very careful in selecting effects that go above and beyond, “the standard fare”, to give a unique and boutique tool set. Additionally, we added another amazing amp emulation from Universal Audio, scroll down to check it out.

The first pedal up is the OctaHive a killer Fuzz/Octave pedal from California based boutique builder Beetronics. The OctaHive is a super high gain fuzz with a well pronounced high pitch octave.
The octave mode can be turned on/off by the side toggle switch giving you a huge tonal range.

Second pedal added since the last update is the Mako Series: [R1] stereo reverb from Walrus Audio. The R1 is an extremely powerful and versatile multi-function reverb that can quickly go from small intimate room sounds to massive washes of experimental euphoria with six customized, studio-quality programs – Spring, Hall, Plate, BFR, RFRCT (Refract), and Air. Every program can be tuned and tweaked and then saved to one of nine on-board presets. The R1 boasts a volume swell effect that can be applied to any program, sustain and latching momentary features, stereo in and out, MIDI control, and up to nine on-board presets (128 via MIDI). Players of all styles and genres will be able to find eternal inspiration with the R1. The [R1], is a creative inspiration and available for use at Revolv.

And the third effect in this update is another modulation effect, the Keeley Caverns 2. Don’t let the Keeley Custom shop limited edition case on this one fool you, it is 100% the Caverns v2 that is regarded as one of the best combo reverbs/delays available today and will not be kept in the box! Stop by and see (and hear), one of the 50 created by Robert Keeley.
The Caverns Delay Reverb V2 dual-effect pedal combines delay and reverb for the perfect end to any pedal board. It features Keeley’s analog-style tape delay with modulation options. The 650ms of warm delay combine with Spring, Shimmer or Modulated Reverb. Caverns now comes with a True-Bypass or Trails option. Because of its small and compact design, the New Caverns is a perfect fit for any fly-rig or small board where you have tight space requirements. The New V2 features Keeley’s most popular time-based effects, blended perfectly via a design fine-tuned for over 2 years. Simply put, it will be an amazing addition to any board.

Finally, in the last update I shared a number of the Amp emulations that I have added to the arsenal. In the last month, I picked up the remaining Fuchs Amp from Universal Audio – the Fuchs Overdrive Supreme. It sounds ridiculous!
From UA, “A go-to amp for Al Di Meola, Jimmy Herring, Warren Haynes, and more, the Fuchs Overdrive Supreme 50 Amplifier is lauded for its Dumble-esque tones, while also imparting its own tonal DNA. The Fuchs Overdrive Supreme 50 plug-in artfully captures the hardware’s glassy clean tones, ultra-tight low end, and copious amount of touch-sensitive gain. The three-band EQ in conjunction with Brite, Deep, and Rock/Jazz switches lets you customize your tones for any guitar or genre.”
That completes this update installment. Be sure to check back frequently to see what we’re up to! Happy 4th of July!
