I added another, Large Diaphragm Condenser to the stable today. After careful consideration and auditioning, I chose to add a Mojave MA-201 FET. The selection criteria was a great option as an “all-around”, performer that could complement the tube and transformer based LDC’s already in house. I’m excited to bring another super solid workhorse into the fold and during an initial functional test, I was able to dial in great sounds for vocals and acoustic guitar in no time. My immediate thoughts are that this mic, has a great clarity, while bringing the mids forward, smooth non-silibant highs, and a nice controlled bottom end with out sounding “woolly”.
